A BRIEF HISTORY

Welcome to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church of Terrell, Texas! We are a church in Downtown Terrell where all are welcome.  Join us in person or on our Facebook page here Sundays at 10:30am for worship. 

On Trinity Sunday, May 27, 1877 the Mission of Good Shepherd was established by Rev. John Portmass.  We are parish serving in the community of Terrell, TX. 

 

WORSHIP SCHEDULE FOR LENT THROUGH EASTER

SHROVE TUESDAY

Come and go pancake supper in Ballard Hall. 5:30-7:30. 

 

Co-ordinated by Men’s group. 

 

  We also had stations of the cross every Friday at noon.

ASH WEDNESDAY

 

Noon – Imposition of Ashes

 

And 7 PM  Imposition of Ashes and Holy Mass

 

Fridays,  7 PM – Stations of the Cross.

procession to begin in Ballard Hall (at 10:30 only)

Maundy Thursday, The Evening of the Lord's Supper April 14th  7:00pm Mass with Foot-washing 
(prayer vigil to follow through noon Good Friday)

Good Friday, April 15th. Noon- Stations of the Cross
 

7:00pm Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday

Great Vigil of Easter. Saturday, April 16th.  8:00pm The First Mass of Easter

Easter Day      10:30am Mass (egg hunt & reception to follow)

Thursday Bible study of the Psalms from 9 am – 10 am

EVERY 4th FRIDAY

Provide meals to Serenity Corner on the fourth Friday of every month.  https://serentiycorner.org

Provide a monthly breakfast to the Global Leadership Academy in Terrell.  Located right across the street from the church.
